New Venture

I could not write since a long time. It is not that I am not committed to blogging but  I was busy with other assignments and also wanted to finish the book Maya Angelou before I should start writing again. The book was a great insight and to keep my promise of reading a lot of books, immediately I have started reading and analyzing another book which is 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. I am sure most of you must have read it already..it is the diary of a teenager who was a Jew and the tough time they went through when they were hiding because of the Nazi occupation of Hungary during World War II. I have read around 47 pages and found even the explanation of her day to day activities very interesting. As a teenager what highs and lows she feels are well explained.

So many books have been written and so many movies have been made on holocaust but even now it is very difficult for most of the people to realize how tough it was for Jews to survive..each moment was spent in fear of being get caught and put in camps. The very thought of a concentration camp sends shivers through my spine.

The Terror Museum in Budapest depicts a picture of the terror regime and two bloody periods of Hungary. The Communist and the Nazi regime both dictatorships created havoc in the lives of people and as everyone knows Jews suffered the most.
In the book 'The Diary of Anne Frank', Anne expresses constant fear and anxiety  of what her future is going to be. Whether she and her family is going to survive through this or not. The fear of losing her father and being caught by the Germans grips her. At that point of time even their non-Jewish friends could not help them even if they wanted to. When the entire world leaves you alone and sees you with an eye of suspicion survival becomes impossible. And it is in such times that your strength is put to test.
